Did you know you can select and move multiple files at the same time on your Windows computer? It’s easy!
There are a few different ways you can select files on your computer.
Selecting Your Files
Method 1: Mouse Only
Left-click and hold down with your mouse in an empty area and drag the mouse over top of the files you want to select.
Method 2: Mouse + Shift Key
Left-click the first file you want to select, then while pressing and holding the shift key, left-click on the last file you want to select. This will select all the files between the first and last file. However, in newer versions of windows, this will only work properly when selecting files in the same horizontal row. If you try to use this method for selecting files vertically, it may not give you the results you are looking for.
Method 3: Mouse + Ctrl Key
Left-click the first file you want to select, then press and hold the ctrl key while you left-click on other files with your mouse.
Moving You Files
How ever you choose to select your files, once they are all highlighted, just left-click and hold your mouse to drag them across the screen or into a folder.
