Back in December we were excited to tell you about ONE 2 ONE’s involvement with the US Marines Toys for Tots program in Lancaster, PA and we are even more excited today to take a moment to spotlight and thank one of our own, without whom, our involvement would not have been as successful as it was.

Pamela Reel (ONE 2 ONE’s Accounting and HR Assistant) was going about her normal routine one day in December when Nick Paulukow (CEO) asked if she wouldn’t mind helping him out with a project he was working on with Gene Duncan, the coordinator of the Toys for Tots program here in Lancaster. Pamela, being quite the Excel Wizard (my words, not hers, but she’s awesome!) and always willing to lend a hand began assisting with exporting participant lists, optimizing spreadsheets of locations and volunteers, and soon found herself making phone calls to drop off locations and coordinating pickups, updating their databases, and volunteering her time to make deliveries for the organization when no one else was available (including on her lunch breaks and weekends). She had never volunteered with Toys for Tots before but she tells me years ago she herself was a recipient of the program.

“It was truly my pleasure to help out on a personal level and for/as a representative of ONE 2 ONE. It makes my heart happy to know that Christmas morning there were over 4,000 kids having a Christmas because of the caring people who are willing to give their all to help someone else. I plan to continue this year as well and I want to help with rightsizing the process in which the toy boxes are dropped off from assigning to tracking and maintaining the database. It truly is my pleasure to help out wherever I can! I tend to grab hold and dive in deep, to me it just warms the heart and soul.”

On behalf of all of us at ONE 2 ONE and from the folks at Lancaster County’s Toys for Tots, “Thank you Pamela!” We are all happy to have you on our teams!
